Nature’s springtime spectacle: MORE cherry blossoms!

IMG_4864I am in love with this time of year. Not only are the days pleasant, with sunshine peeking through the clouds and comfortable daytime highs in the teens, but the cherry blossoms are putting on more of a spectacle every day. It’s hard not to appreciate every moment, especially when friends back home just got yet more snow (that’s why they call it Winterpeg, Manisnowba… don’t say you hate me! πŸ˜‰ )

The rain was falling lightly when I set out, camera in hand. The skies were gloomy until suddenly, wonderfully, the clouds began to clear. Bright blue skies and sunshine illuminated the blossoms’ delicate pink colour. One of nature’s more wonderful spectacles!Β IMG_4900 IMG_4906 IMG_4908 IMG_4912 IMG_4914 IMG_4919By the way, I am going cherry blossom viewing on both Saturday and Sunday this week. Will I tire of these beauties? Time will tell!

And a side note: I’ve gained some new followers in the past week- thanks to every one of you, and welcome! πŸ™‚

  1. Wonderful photos of the cherry blossoms! Glad you stuck out the gloomy weather – treated to the sunshine at the end of it and I think the flowers love the warmth from the sun too πŸ™‚ Great cloud cover too. Always makes the sky look more interesting πŸ™‚
