Taste of Korea Tuesdays: Korean-Italian fusion food and thousand-crepe cakes

Locals always know best. A few weekends ago, after exploring Bongeunsa temple in Gangnam, I met up with friends for dinner.

our Korean friend took us to a fusion Italian and Korean restaurant in Gangnam- an interesting blend with delicious results.

Like chewy noodles with seafood and cream sauce. Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) topped with onion.

Spicy, flavourful shrimp-fried rice. And one of my favourite dishes- jjajangmeon! (noodles with black bean sauce).

Content and full, we later went to nearby Chloris Tea Rooms for tea and a unique style of cake. We sampled two varieties- tiramisu and Earl Grey- both made by layering extremely thin sweet crepes!

If you’re curious and hoping to visit these places for yourself, fear not! Chloris Tea Room is located at 809-3, Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, close to Gangnam Station. As for the restaurant, I can’t quite recall the name- but I plan to find out from the friend that invited us in the near future!
